Texas Group One is a group of veterinarians whose philosophy is to embrace the entrepreneurial spirit through private practice ownership. Formed in 1999 by several practice owners who attended Texas A&M University's executive management classes together, these individuals forged a bond fueled by a common goal: a desire for practices built on good medicine and strong business management concepts.
Our mission is to promote the benefits of private practice ownership and improve the quality of our lives by leading the veterinary industry in developing and implementing advanced management techniques.
Our membership embraces veterinarians in many different stages of life and practice growth, and even includes a few retirees. We host fall and spring meetings to discuss business management and problem-solve. TG1 frequently engages the help of nationally recognized veterinary consultants for our owner meetings and brings in national speakers for combined staff training events. Additionally, our membership buying group negotiates contracts together where all member practices benefit.
Together, through our Texas Group One participation, we are individually stronger, better practices.
